Feel free to browse the library and research historical rate updates dating back nearly 2 years at www.JasonGordon.info whenever desired.  Also, make sure to learn about THE TRUTH BEHIND MORTGAGE QUOTES to better understand the relationship between up-front closing costs and mortgage interest rates so you don't get duped by clever advertising campaigns.

The Mortgage Street Smarts of where mortgage interest rates are going (and why):

The following information is current as of Friday 12-21-2012 and will help you understand today's best mortgage rates. If you are a Buyer/Borrower who is still on the fence (or if you are a Real Estate Agent attempting to educate your "on the fence" Buyer), please review these trends and secure an historically low interest rate before it is too late.

The market closed Thursday with an IMPROVEMENT to pricing (and will typically warrant a pricing adjustment by most Lenders). Thursday's IMPROVEMENT netted a change of 3 basis points (bps).

(hint: upward activity is good, downward activity is bad)

Market Commentary (Dan Rawitch)

Here is Dan's video for today:
http://www.ratewatch.com/ratewatchnow.html

I feel happy the world did not end today.  That would have sucked.
We got some lift in bonds due to the failure of Plan B.  It's not the market wanted to see Plan B go away..quite the contrary.  With no Plan B, it becomes clear that both parties will need to agree on the Fiscal cliff solution.  This sent Stocks down and bonds up, in a flight to safety.

Somewhere between here (104.80) and 105.00, I'd be looking for a turn back to test the bottom of 104.20.

I guess I'm telling you not take many risks at this level.
